I’m convinced that Catholicism is the most intellectually serious worldview on offer, and that message needs to reach American culture. Catholicism is not a dumb man’s religion. On the flip side, you don’t have to be a philosopher to engage in rational discussion. It doesn’t take a degree in Astrophysics or Systematic Theology to explore the Catholic faith intellectually. All it takes is an open mind and a willing heart. Any Catholic, no matter the stage of spiritual development, can learn to give a defense of the hope that is within them (1 Peter 3:15). That’s the heart of this ministry: defending the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith through Capturing Christianity and Capturing Catholicism, and showing believers that the intellectual side of the faith isn’t scary.
