Difficulty: Intermediate | This podcast gets deep into philosophy at certain points

This is the fifth and final episode of a five-part podcast series on the historical case for Jesus’ resurrection. In this series I’m joined by Dr.’s Calum Miller and Max Baker-Hytch, both of whom are well qualified to speak on the subject.

Dr. Miller has been on the podcast before. He and I discussed the prior probability of the Resurrection. Super interesting exchange of ideas on that one, please go give it a listen if you haven’t. Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Oxford in 2015 with degrees in Medical Sciences (Neuroscience) and Medicine & Surgery. He’s currently teaching Ethics and Philosophy of Religion at the University of Oxford.

Dr. Baker-Hytch is actually new to the show. In 2010 he received his Masters in Ethics, Religion and Society from the University of Exeter and later went on to receive a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Oxford. Both of these guys are extremely intelligent and also well-versed in the evidence for the Resurrection.

Part 5 finishes a discussion about the various explanations on offer for the historical facts surrounding Jesus’ resurrection. To navigate between the different parts of this series, use the navigator below:

Even if true, the resurrection is irrelevant. Read this convo between a Noachide and a Catholic – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U10AxfwlTJLXal1Sf_Er-iB8qVGxB63u/view?usp=drivesdk

Christianity leads to moral monsters like Shane here. Why else would someone say that the victims of child rape are evil? It’s beyond obscene. “Immediately before the conversation is cut off, Harris directs the following statement to Shane: “You either have a God who sends child rapists to rape children or you have a God who simply watches it and says, ‘When you’re done, I’m going to punish you.’ If I could stop a person from raping a child, I would. That’s the difference between me and your God.” Shane begins his response by saying, “First of all, you portray… Read more »

Guess what I’m doing this week? Btw, there’s still time to audit Dr. Craig’s class on the Trinity. Apparently, ALL of the material is new! And if you join late, you’ll still get access to the over 12 hours of lectures. 289 16
Btw, tonight is the night you can hang out with Cam and other CC supporters for 2+ hours discussing apologetics, philosophy, gaming, and whatever else comes up! 48 2
Quick Asbury update: I was able to record 2 interviews during my short trip to Asbury University over the weekend. The first interview was with Lena Marlowe. She's a senior at Asbury and was on the Gospel Choir during the service that launched the revival. I'm hoping to have her interview up today or tomorrow. 468 66
