Probably should have rented a nifty zoom lens for the moon last night. The image you see is as good as it gets. It was taken handheld from my backyard. I was actually pretty amazed at how bright it was. Had to really stop down my camera (which basically means I had to darken everything). The shadows it cast on my backyard were also surprisingly visible – could have been the annoying flood lights from my neighbors.

For any photography nerds out there, here were my settings: ISO 64, 200mm, f/5, 1/500. I shot this on the D810 and cropped the sensor (DX) to give me a little more zoom.

UPDATE: So I ended up renting the zoom lens, and I’m glad I did. Snagged this little guy last night.

Finally got fed up with the super dumb design of the Apple mouse. Did some research and got this guy. Why have my friends been letting me live in the dark ages?? This thing is AMAZING. Charges in minutes, can use it while charging (Apple, take notes), you can customize all the buttons for different apps, etc. etc. Never thought a mouse would actually boost my productivity. 204 12
